A matching and progress-tracking platform that connects volunteer tutors with 900 secondary school students across the region.
Overview
Brightside Learning Foundation pairs volunteer tutors with secondary school students who need extra support. Matching and progress tracking currently live in spreadsheets. Brightside Tutors will give coordinators, tutors and families one shared place to plan sessions and follow progress.
What we are designing
- Matching of tutors and students by subject, schedule and location.
- Session planning with reminders for tutors and families.
- Simple progress notes that coordinators can review at a glance.
Where things stand
The service blueprint is complete and the team is testing clickable prototypes with students and tutors. Final designs will be handed to the build team in January.
