Clinic Compass

Built for Vale Community Health Network

A check-in and queue app that tells patients at six community clinics when they will be seen, so waiting rooms stay calm.

Overview

Vale Community Health Network runs six walk-in clinics where waiting times can stretch past two hours. Clinic Compass lets patients check in from their phone or a kiosk, see their place in the queue and get a text message when it is almost their turn.

What we are building

  • Patient check-in by phone, kiosk or reception, in four languages.
  • A live queue that estimates waiting time from each clinic's real pace.
  • A staff dashboard to triage, reorder and call patients.
  • Text message alerts so patients can wait outside or nearby.

Where things stand

The iOS and Android beta is running at two clinics. The team is completing an accessibility audit with patient groups before rolling out to all six clinics in early December.
